Project Consultant

We are searching for a Project Consultant to review and analyze construction claims. The candidate should have 0-10 years of experience in construction as a Project Engineer, Project Manager, Owner Representative or Controls/Claims Consultant. This candidate must be located in, or willing to relocate without assistance to, the Raleigh, North Carolina area. The Project Consultant will have responsibilities in CPM schedule delay analysis and review of project documentation for delay and cost related issues, working out of our Cary, NC office:  This is not a remote position.  

Job Description

  1. Review and analyze claim submissions and the supporting documents
  2. Review and analyze project documentation including contracts, change orders, pay applications, schedules, meeting minutes, monthly reports and daily reports
  3. Preparation of PowerPoint presentations to summarizing findings
  4. Data analysis using Excel, to review and analyze claim submissions and supporting cost documents
  5. Collaborate with clients to help them properly submit insurance claims with appropriate cost documentation, which includes narratives, invoices, canceled checks, timesheets, payroll records, contracts, payment applications and other relevant information
  6. Utilize and monitor an existing website as the repository for all claim submissions and supporting cost documents
  7. Prepare reports and Excel spreadsheets to document the claim submission (using existing standards)
  8. Suggest continuous process improvement

  2. Working Knowledge of CPM Scheduling - experience with Primavera Software. Microsoft Project experience is a plus
